Starting a family is one of the most personal decisions you can make, and it’s completely natural to want to feel prepared. Our fertility test for women in Singapore is a comprehensive preconception screening designed to give you a clearer picture of your hormonal balance and ovarian reserve. This is not a diagnostic procedure for infertility; rather, it is a health screening that helps you understand your current reproductive health so you can plan with greater peace of mind.
A simple step today can help you make more informed decisions for the future.
This screening is ideal for women who are planning for pregnancy, experiencing difficulties conceiving, or want to take a proactive step in understanding their fertility. Men who wish to assess their reproductive health may also opt for an add-on semen analysis ($150 excluding GST).
The package includes a full medical assessment, doctor’s consultation, and a series of lab tests to evaluate hormone levels, ovarian reserve, and overall health. Optional add-ons like semen analysis are available for male partners ($150 excluding GST).

Why Should You Consider a Fertility Check-Up?
Age
A woman’s ovarian reserve (the number of eggs remaining in the ovaries) naturally declines over time, with a more noticeable shift typically occurring from the mid-30s onwards. Understanding where you stand helps you to assess your reproductive health and gives you more time to plan.
Lifestyle
Smoking and alcohol consumption may affect hormonal balance over time. A fertility check-up helps you identify your baseline health markers before these factors become a concern.
Stress
Chronic stress may influence reproductive hormones. Many women carry elevated stress levels without realising the potential impact on their cycle and overall hormonal health.
BMI
Both a high and a low BMI have been linked to disruptions in the menstrual cycle and hormone levels. A preconception screening gives you and your doctor a clearer picture of how your weight may be affecting your reproductive health.

Fertility Screening for Couples: An Added Layer of Insight
Family planning is rarely a solo journey. When both partners have a clearer understanding of their reproductive health, you can approach the process together with greater confidence and fewer unknowns.
This is why our fertility screening package includes an optional semen analysis add-on for male partners. Semen analysis assesses key indicators of male reproductive health, including sperm count, motility (how well the sperm move), and morphology (the size and shape of the sperm). These factors play a significant role in conception, and identifying any concerns early allows both of you to have a more complete conversation with your doctor.
The add-on is available at $150 excluding GST and includes a doctor’s consultation. It is a straightforward, practical step that gives couples a fuller picture before they begin their family planning journey in earnest.
The SMG Health+ mobile application provides a one-stop convenient digital access to SMG general and specialist clinics. With this app, you can book your healthcare screening, vaccinations, radiology and imaging services at Lifescan as well as stay updated with your personal records at your fingertips.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
This screening must be conducted on Day 3 or Day 4 of your menstrual cycle, as hormone levels at this point provide the most accurate baseline reading. When booking your appointment, factor in your cycle timing so you can schedule accordingly. If you are unsure, our team can help you plan the right date.
No. This is a health screening, not a diagnostic procedure for infertility. It does not predict or guarantee future fertility outcomes. What it does is assess your current reproductive health markers, such as hormone levels and ovarian reserve, giving you and the doctor a clearer, evidence-based starting point for your family planning conversations.
Your comprehensive summary report will be ready within seven working days of your screening. You will be notified via the SMG Health+ app once your results are available, ahead of your follow-up review appointment with our doctor.
No referral is needed. You can book directly through our website or WhatsApp. A doctor’s consultation is included as part of the package, so you will have professional guidance built into the process from the outset.
General women’s health screening covers a broad range of health indicators, such as cholesterol, blood sugar, and cancer markers. Fertility screening is more focused: it specifically evaluates hormonal balance, ovarian reserve, and reproductive health markers that are relevant to preconception planning.
Our doctor will walk you through your results at a follow-up consultation, which is arranged before you leave the clinic and takes place within two weeks of your screening. If any results require further investigation, your doctor will recommend appropriate next steps, which may include additional tests or a referral to a specialist.
